August Ericsson (1842 - circa 1915) Auguste Ericsson was the Swedish watchmaker who later emigrated to Russia and from 1875 operated a flourishing workshop in St. Petersburg. He was one of the most respected watchmakers and dealers of his time. Ericsson used only the highest quality movements such as Ulysse Nardin, IWC, Longines and even Victor Kullberg for its pocket watches and marine chronometers. Among other things, he supplied watches to the family of the czar. Most of the marine chronometers supplied to the Imperial Navy came from Auguste Ericsson.
