This offered timepiece is a complicated and valuable gentleman's hunter case pocket watch in massive and heavy execution. This watch is 56mm large and 141,8 grams heavy and was manuafactured around 1900 in Western Switzerland, for the French market. The fine enamel dial has the small seconds, day-, date-, month- and moon phase-indication. The hunting case pocket watch has a smooth 18k yellow gold case with a lateral slide at "6" for the striking movement and pusher at "12" for the chronograph. The case is also equipped by an 18k gold dome, which has an engraving as follows: "Ligeron, Horloger de la Marine de l'Etat, 27 Boulevard Bonne Nouvelle, Paris". Below the gold dome ticks a gilt striking movement with a visible chronograph mechanism and ratchet wheel. The strike of hours, quater hours and minutes is done by two hammers and two gongs. Repetition is triggered by a lateral slide, for the chronograph function the small pusher is responsible. The repetition strike loud and has a beautiful sound.
