This very fine, valuable hunting case pocket watch was delivered to the Parisian company A. H. Rodanet. Auguste Hilaire Rodanet was a watchmaker, dealer and representative of Patek Philippe in France. The watch has an extremely rare enamel dial in an unique design. On the enamel dial is a pale blue Calatrava Cross engraved on ivory-colored background. For several decades, Patek Philippe uses this Calatrava cross artful as a trademark. On 27 April 1887 "Patek Philippe Geneve à Manufacturers Co." was registered trade mark with his symbol, the Calatrava Cross. In 1932 Calatrava was awarded the name of the timepiece, which has become the epitome of elegance. In conclusion, the Calatrava Cross in the 12th Century on the banners used an order of knights of the Cistercians, who defended with unprecedented bravery, the fortress of Calatrava.
The 18k gold case is translucent green enamelled on both sides and with a 18k gold cuvette equipped, in which is engraved "Patek Philippe & Cie Genéve, Werk-Nr. 21022, A. H. Rodanet & Co 38 Rue Vivienne Paris" bears. Inside the golden case is ticking the high-quality, early bridge movement with its excellent quality Patek Philippe features.
