Swiss watch manufactory established in Geneva in 1876 by Georges Agassiz. Georges' father Auguste Agassiz already had a watch trade in St. Imier from 1832. Agassiz was a manufacturer of first-class quality pocket watches. After the merger with the Geneva company Touchon, Agassiz specialized in flat movements. The thinnest with 10 ''' diameter and 9/12''' (= 1.7mm) thickness could be incorporated into a 20-dollar coin.
