A rare, heavy enamel pocket watch
with quater repeating

in fine silver execution
with a remarkable polychrome enamelled and plastic enamel dial

This special silver enamel quater repeating pocket watch was manufactured approx. 1860 to 1870. The silver case has an enamelled back side in black and white. It shows white flower and animal motives on a black ground. The watch has a reeded band and a slide at "3" for the repetition and is equipped by an engraved brass dome. The absolute highlight of this watch is the special enamel dial. It has radial Roman hours and a set winding hole. In the center there is a polychrome enamelled painting with the depticition of a tree landscape and a house. This hous was highlightes plastically and has the signature of the producer. Around the outer five minuite-divisions there are two extremely fine polychrome enamelled floral tendrils. The gild flower hands complete the fineness of the dial. The gilt and engine-turned full-platinum cylinder movement has a large steel balance and a flat balance spring as well as blued screws. An absolutely collector's piece!
