This offered exemplar is a rare hunting case pocket watch with a very early movement number in an elaborate design. A special highlight of this pocket watch is the very richly and elaborately decorated dial with fabulous floral ornaments, a centrally applied gold decoration and floral gold decoration running around the edge. The dial bears the signature "J. Assmann Dresden 2447". The solid 18k gold case is engine-turned on both sides; the decorative, floral chasing of the case on the band and on the edge of the two lids is made in high relief. The 18k gold cuvette, engine-turned on the edge, is provided with the following engraving: "Anker, 19 Rubin , J. Assmann Dresden". The decorated pendant and bow give the watch a unique exclusivity. A greater feast for the eyes of watch collectors is provided by the high quality gilt keywind movement. It is an early 2/3 plate movement with a separate escape wheel cock, equipped with a gold lever and gold escape wheel. The case has a diameter of approx. 51mm and weighs a total of approx. 114g.
